Stressless® is one of the world’s most famous furniture brands, while Ekornes® and Svane® are the best known brands in the Norwegian furniture market. While products are manufactured at seven factories in Norway, they are sold in large parts of the world through a network of wholly owned sales companies in selected markets.

Stressless® was introduced in 1971, as the first recliner designed to meet your body’s need for movement and support when seated. No wonder Stressless® became known as the ultimate recliner. 35 years later, and with worldwide sales of over four million, Stressless® is still the ultimate recliner and the reason is simple; our key concern is constantly improving comfort. Ten years ago the Stressless® concept was widened with the introduction of Stressless® reclining sofas. Since then other manufacturers have tried to follow our lead and have introduced low-back sofas where seats can be adjusted individually.

Ekornes Collection

Ekornes Collection is our collection of comfortable fixed-back sofas with a wide range of combination possibilities. Several Ekornes Collection sofas has similar design as our Stressless sofas and also some Stressless recliners, so you can arrange your room according to your needs and space without compromise.

Svane

Svane was the first trademark to be registered in the Norwegian furniture industry. There is a close connection between laying comfortably and getting enough sleep. Today this connection is widely documented through science, but when Jens E. Ekornes made the first Svane mattresses in 1937 he had come to the same conclusion through common sense. The Svane mattresses which combined mattress springs and breathing capabilities, soon became a success. There is a long way from 1937 and up until today, but peoples trust in the Svane brand is as strong today as back then. This is a trust we have to earn every night.
